| Matt was in rare form last night here in NYC at the Cutting Room. He said this was his first solo acoustic show in a long time. He warned us that if he fucked up once, it was art and if he fucked up twice, it was jazz.
It was an hour set played from 8-9pm. He had to get off stage for another band who was playing at 9:30pm. He played in the back room which was on the small side but was packed.. Maybe 200+ people at the sold out show??
Matt didn\'t want to play any covers and was excited to play a show without having to sing Starfish. As usual Matt had great stories and conversations with the audience. He made up a song on the fly about losing his virginity. It was hilarious.
If anyone taped this show it would be a gem and I would LOVE a copy. He also played a few new songs that I didn\'t catch the names of. The new song \"Come on Get Higher\" was amazing! -rowhard99 2006-10-27 11:25:23 |
