+ Top 5 shows to download I'll start with two old school shows. 2002-05-22 - probably the greatest show pre 2005.. the one that got me hooked! 2002-06-26 - the live version of answer machine in the shows tape still sends chills down my spine. Of course I was there so I'm biased. This what I would consider my first real show after listening to previous mentioned tape for a month non stop. |

+ Top 5 shows to download While it's pretty overrated on the Archive compared to a lot of other shows, 2006-04-03 at Jammin' Java is probably my favorite show of all of the ones I've downloaded. It has possibly the best Acoustic performance of Car Crash (with the "I'm gonna get this song right....*says first verse quickly*" banter), the best version of Forgiveness - my favorite Matt Cover, an excellent version of Church Clothes and Heartbreak World, hilarious R. Kelly banter and the Ignition sing-a-long. The whole recording is crystal clear with litle crowd noise and only at the awesome moments (like the Answering Machine request). The last 5 songs or so of the second set are Matt heaven. |

+ Top 5 shows to download 4.28.02 put Matt on my radar screen. It's a short set opening for Howie Day. In the space of an hour, I went from not knowing who he was to being completely hooked. He was a relative unknown to alot of the crowd, I believe, but had us eating out of his hand. Amazing charisma! There's a vid of this show as well. If it isn't generally circulating anymore, I can unpack the old grey-street.org/hdtb server I have in the attic! |
