In a recent interview from Ed Paff Jr. of oarsa.org Marc Roberge lead singer of O.A.R. was asked "Is there a band you feel you as a group look up to and admire? If so, who? Why this particular band?". While other band members answered such bands as U2 and DMB, Roberge responded "I look up to Matt Nathanson because of his experience on the road and in this business. I think he offers me the most clean view of the music industry. Not to mention what a great songwriter he is. All around good person."
