Matt played the Iowa State Fair on Sunday night - a date that had been scheduled for quite a while. Once we figured out a couple of months ago that he'd be playing at the SAME time as Heart and Journey (who were on a different stage at the fair), I'll admit to a bit of a sinking feeling. We were watching with interest to see how this show ultimately would go down. Finally the setlist was lengthy for a free show, with quite a few covers/teases thrown in. Earlier in the day, Matt did a radio promo show for Des Moines' Star 102.5 at Fleming's Steakhouse. Star 102.5 posted the interviews and performances in a series of three podcasts. The interviews were fun to listen to, so we figured that we would share them here. The station promises that videos are coming soon.
