+ I actually really liked this one; Jennifer Nettles seems miscast in the duet, and I would have much rather have had Ingrid sing on this one. However, the song itself is great... the majority of the record appears to be a departure from Matt's work in the past. I'm really excited to hear more from the record. "Room at the End of the World" might be the best one I've heard from this record yet... while "Mercy" appears to be the one I'm going to have to listen to repeatedly before it resonates with me. "Modern Love", "Kept", and "Bottom of the Sea" are all classics for me as well, so Matt might just have his best record to date with this release. =} |
